“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step” - Lao-Tzu
It is always difficult to get started. As some of the philosophers said, you get the highest resistance when you start something new. Once you complete the first 21 days with a new habit it becomes part of your daily routine.
Year 2020 came with lots of challenges including Covid-19 which changed all the schedules and plans. While writing this we completed almost 96% of the year. Throughout the year I got a chance to work on Kubernetes, containerization, stability projects, gitops and many other DevOps best practices.
However it is now time to upgrade those skills with training portals like linuxacademy.com , acloud.guru and skyline academy. 2020 was the first year in the last few years when I could not appear for any exams and need to achieve 2020 goals in 2021.
Got started with DevOps essentials training on Linux Academy. The course walks you through basic concepts of DevOps and explains what DevOps is and what DevOps is not.
As defined on the AWS DevOps page,
“DevOps is the combination of cultural philosophies, practices, and tools that increases an organization’s ability to deliver applications and services at high velocity” (https://aws.amazon.com/devops/what-is-devops/)
DevOps is neither tools nor standard but a culture.
DevOps empowers the development teams to achieve fast deliveries and operation teams to maintain stability of the platform.
